Mechanical Design Engineer

What will you mainly do in this role?

For our offices in Houten and Groningen we are looking for Mechanical Design Engineers. In this role you are challenged to develop complex mechanical constructions for a very diverse range of assignments.

Your mechanical engineering background, combined with the expertise of our industrial designers, makes it possible to develop smart and well-considered consumer and professional products. You are involved in the entire process: from the initial concept phase through to realisation. You also work on prototypes and small series.

You do this within a multidisciplinary team, but for smaller projects you also work independently. As a result, no day is the same, you continuously learn new things and keep developing yourself.

In addition, we are the only development agency in the Netherlands with our own in-house pilot factory. This allows us to take manufacturability into account early in the development process. That ensures an optimal transition from product development to production for our clients.

What we value

For this role we consider it important that you have at least three years’ experience in developing complex products. Experience with plastic development is an advantage.

In addition, we ask for:

• knowledge of and experience with relevant development tools, preferably NX, SolidWorks and/or Creo. Experience with 3D CAD is definitely required;

• knowledge of and experience with calculations in areas such as tolerances, stiffness and dynamic behaviour;

• a completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline;

• the ability and interest to act as a discussion partner across multiple disciplines, such as mechanics, electronics and computer science.

Hours / days per week

We are looking for a colleague (M/F) for at least 36 hours per week, spread over five days.
