Verduurzaam je huis

Eneco is one of the energy companies in the Netherlands that offers new products and services in the energy transition from gas to electric. This includes the Warmtewinner (Heat Winner), a heat pump developed to contribute to the reduction of gas consumption in the Netherlands.

The Warmtewinner provides good ventilation and recycles the heat in the house.

In the energy transition from gas to electricity, continuous development and expansion of the product portfolio is necessary to remain relevant.

In addition, consumers find it important to act more consciously and environmentally friendly, especially when it comes to their home. Therefore, Eneco faced an important challenge to reuse warm air in the house. In this challenge, Inventum, Eneco, and PEZY found each other.

Our challenge was to develop a compact product that is easy to use and install. The design had to match the style of Eneco and provide easy access to a filter that needs to be replaced annually.

Process

Inventum developed the Eneco Warmtewinner in close collaboration with PEZY. In this collaboration, PEZY was responsible for the product design and the UX of the interface. The development of the plastic and EPP parts in CAD was done in cooperation with Inventum.

Outcome

A sustainable consumer product for the home, with attention to integration with Toon, both in terms of looks and interface, and works seamlessly in every home.

With the Warmtewinner, we make it as easy as possible for consumers to make their homes more sustainable. Inventum eventually launched the heat pump under the name ‘Spaarpomp’ (Savings Pump), and it became a great success. The heat pump is sold under the name Victorum in Ireland by Joule.
