Making skin measurements accessible requires more than sensor technology. PEZY helped Skinly bring the physical and digital components together in a compact device and guided the development, partners and route to production.

Measurements must also be pleasant to use
Skinly needed to make skin measurements accessible with a handy device that connects to a phone.
Contact and contactless sensors needed to collect information together, while the form and operation invited users to use the product. The technology, the physical interaction and the digital environment had to align with each other.

Iterating together up to launch
We developed the product through iterations in close collaboration with the client.
The various sensors were integrated into the compact form. At the same time we aligned the mechanical development with the electronic and digital components and collaborated with the manufacturing partner.

A small device, connected to an app
Skinly combines contact and contactless sensors with tactile feedback in a portable product.
Via a phone connection measurement data are linked to a digital system that generates skin insights and personalised care recommendations. The device thus serves as the physical measurement point within a broader digital application.
05 · Het resultaat
Manufactured for international research programmes
The introduction started with a selected group of users in Germany as part of a research programme.
According to the case, the studies were subsequently expanded to Thailand, South Korea, China and the United States and a large batch of devices was manufactured. PEZY supported the route from early product questions to that production and application.
