Elixxe: a bottle that brings product and ingredients together
A new beverage concept needs packaging that communicates the idea and can be manufactured. For Elixxe PEZY combined a bespoke bottle design with an ingredient capsule, standard components and a first production run from the Pilot Factory.

A drink with a separate ingredient capsule requires packaging where form and engineering work together. For Elixxe PEZY developed that combination into a first production series.

A bespoke package ready for first sale
Elixxe wanted to introduce a drink with natural ingredients, vitamins and minerals in distinctive packaging.
The bottle needed to accommodate a sealed ingredient capsule. That required more than an identifiable exterior: bottle, capsule and cap also had to be manufacturable and assembled as a single unit.

PEZY took on the process from the initial packaging concepts to the first series production.
We combined the bottle design, technical development and production. Our Pilot Factory handled production and assembly of bottle, label and capsule.

03 · De aanpak en het inzicht
Using existing components with purpose
We combined a bespoke bottle design with a standard capsule and cap.
This allowed us to prepare the packaging for pilots and sale in a short time. The main technical challenge was securing the sealed capsule. For this we developed a specific preform: the plastic parison from which the bottle is made.
04 · De oplossing
A recognisable bottle with an integrated capsule
The capsule was given a fixed position in the bottle, while the design gave Elixxe its own shelf presence.
In addition to the drink bottle, Elixxe offered refill packs. The packaging therefore addressed both the initial purchase and reuse of the bottle.
05 · Het resultaat
The step to a physical product on the market
The result was a developed package and a first production series.
By linking design decisions directly to available components, tooling and assembly, Elixxe could move from product idea to pilots and sales.
